I got a Wii, then it broke. Cannot Read Disc error !

I managed to get a Wii on Launch day in the end (probably the reason I haven’t posted). It’s a great console and the controller works brilliantly. Unfortunately after a late night Wii session the next day it refused to load any games, just comes up with a “cannot read disc” error.
I’ve tried to contact Nintendo customer support but without success, just a constant queue with a message announcing - “your call will be answered in 15 seconds” - which I feel is a little optimistic having waited on the phone over 30 minutes without an answer.
I’ll try again on Monday. I hope they can replace or repair quickly as I was hoping it could provide some good family entertainment on Christmas Day!

No Wii for Me.

I’m a Nintendo fan. I think they make the best Consoles and Games in the world. So it won’t surprise you to here that I have a Nintendo Wii on order at my local Gamestation store in Bedford. Unfortunately I didn’t get down there as quickly as I could and ended up being number 88 on their Pre-order list.
A quick call to them yesterday to find out my chances was disappointing. Whilst on the phone to the lad in the store he stated they had just received a shipment of just 55 brand new Wiis making my chances of getting one on Friday, slim to none. However there should be more next week!
Wooo!
I’m thinking of posting some videos once I get one. We’ll wait and see.
