AdWords Conversion Code & WordPress

I really love WordPress. I also really love Google AdWords. And for this reason I often use the two together. Usually they work just fine, with AdWords sending over traffic and WordPress providing an easy way to create, manage and edit landing pages.

It’s essential when using Google AdWords that you measure conversions accurately using the Google AdWords conversion code. The conversion code is a snippet of Java Script that you simply copy and paste on to your thank you page (usually the page after someone buys something or fills in a form). In the past i’ve simply copied the snippet into the body of the post/page and it’s worked fine. However, not any more.

Don’t panic though! – I’ve found a plugin that provides a solution. The guys at creative clans have created an embed plugin that allows you to easily insert code on which ever page or post you fancy. Using this should ensure your scripts and code fire correctly.

You can also download and install the plugin using the wordpress auto install feature. Great!
