Everyone knows that your write your documents in Microsoft Word and your Spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel. Right ? Well for now yes, but a change may be on its way. Google Docs !

Google has been playing around with Online Apps for a while with Gmail and Calender being a couple of useful online alternative to Microsoft Outlook. Now they offer a Word Processor and Spreadsheet that can be run from your browser anywhere in the world without having to install and applications.

Other benefits include a great collabaration tool that allows to invite other people to access you documents and make changes. We’ve been testing it with a few or our documents and its proved very useful when sharing ideas or financial figures.

Microsoft are getting ready to move into hosted apps with Office live set for release in November.
