I’ve been to Google a few times. In London, Dublin and Mountain View. It really is as good as they say it is. You can take a look at some of my photos on my facebook. Google really is a great place to work. They have this ethos that every employee need should be taken care of by the company to allow them to work. And boy do they work. With WIFI everywhere (Google supply Free wifi to the whole of Mountain View) you’re always online and always able to work. I noticed most staff would turn up early and stay pretty much all night.
Some of the most memorable things about Google for me include:
- You can bring your pets to work.
- You can bring your children to work.
- Google will do your laundry at work.
- The food is FANTASTIC! And I mean FANTASTIC!
- No Suits about!
One night they even took us out to play Trampoline Dodgeball!. Yes, Dodgeball on Trampolines! Sound Dangerous? It was! (one of the other visitors busted up his foot, looked real painful).
